‘body issue’ is a project consisting of 18 images, each encrypted with one word and together they form the message of the artwork. They are scattered around and you need to build them into one sentence.
This brick by brick system is not accidental – first, it brings me back to the time where it all started and the only way that helped me release my anxiety was working on words and texts – especially grammar exercises with the correct word order – my secret way of ‘putting things right’ and having at least some control.
Secondly – it mimics the journey you have to take back to your body – dysmorphia plays a weird trick on the brain and makes you see yourself sort of fragmented – you focus on certain body parts, learn to hate them individually, and stop seeing the full picture. Taking fragmented body parts and putting them in one message is my way of finally connecting them.

‘Mirrors’ is a series of self portraits which is purposefully overdramatic and holds contrast of the reserved artist and the emotions that overflow and simply do not fit into everyday life
